The Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design center within the Sweco Group. It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Zakres obowiązków
  • Lead and direct water supply projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, develop project plans, coordinating resources and personnel to meet project objectives;
  • Provide regular project reports and updates to stakeholders and funding agencies;
  • Prepare detailed tender documents, including specifications and contract terms, ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards;
  • Oversee contractual aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with FIDIC conditions and other relevant standards;
  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for water supply systems, evaluating technical, financial, and socio-economic aspects. Coordinate with local engineering teams, providing technical training and capacity building;
  • Develop master plans and preliminary designs for water supply infrastructure, including source identification and treatment processes;
  • Implement integrated water resources management (IWRM) principles, ensuring sustainable and efficient use of water resources;
  • Conduct environmental and social impact assessments, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project compliance;
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, providing ongoing support and modifications as needed.

 

What type projects you work with:

International water supply and wastewater treatment projects at different stages, from feasibility to design to supervision. Often very large, complex, multi-year projects with large teams of external or local staff.


Poszukiwane kompetencje
  • 15 years of experience in managing major water supply or wastewater projects, particularly in developing countries. Demonstrated a successfully leading roles such as Project Manager, Senior Water Supply Specialist, or Environmental Engineer; 
  • Proven record of working with various International Financial Institutions (IFIs); 
  • Knowledge and practical experience with FIDIC contract conditions (Red Book, Yellow Book, Gold Book, etc).;
  • Hands-on experience with feasibility studies, master planning, preliminary and detailed designs, and tender document preparations for water supply systems and/or wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and related infrastructure; 
  • Expertise in project financial analysis, long-term and priority investment programming, and environmental and social impact assessments;
  • Experience with master planning for water supply systems including integrated water resources management (IWRM);
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes, pump station design, and distribution system engineering;
  • Proficient in handling digitalization of water supply components, SCADA systems, and PLC for process control;
  • Familiarity with environment-friendly technologies and sustainable water management practices.
