The Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design center within the Sweco Group. It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Zakres obowiązków

Provide day-to-day management to project teams from inception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards;
Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating resources and personnel;
Draft regular project reports and updates for stakeholders and funding agencies;
Identify and help mitigate project risks;
Contractual Oversight: Ensure compliance with FIDIC conditions and other relevant standards.
Play a key role in new business acquisition / business development to secure new business;
Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for water supply and wastewater systems, evaluating technical, financial, and socio-economic aspects;
Develop master plans and preliminary designs for infrastructure, including source identification and water treatment processes;
Implement IWRM principles, promoting sustainable and efficient use of water resources;
Perform technical reviews, providing solutions for complex water treatment challenges;
Prepare detailed tender documents, including specifications and contract terms, aligned with project requirements;
Coordinate with local engineering teams, providing technical training and capacity building;
Assess and recommend digitalization strategies to optimize operational efficiency and monitoring of water supply systems.

What type projects you work with:

International water supply and wastewater treatment projects at different stages, from feasibility to design to supervision. Often very large, complex, multi-year projects with large teams of external or local staff.

Poszukiwane kompetencje

5+ years of experience in managing water supply or wastewater projects in emerging markets. We have a variety of positions available based on the candidate’s expertise, ranging from 3 years to over 8 years of relevant experience;
Proven record of working with various International Financial Institutions (IFIs) like EBRD, KfW, Danida, etc.;
Demonstrated capability in roles such as Project Manager, Water Supply Specialist, or Environmental Engineer;
Knowledge and practical experience with FIDIC contract conditions (Red Book, Yellow Book, Gold Book, etc).;
Hands-on experience with feasibility studies, master planning, preliminary and detailed designs, and tender document preparations for water supply and wastewater systems;
Expertise in project financial analysis, investment programming, and environmental and social impact assessments;
Familiarity with master planning for water supply systems including integrated water resources management (IWRM);
Proficient in the digitalization of water supply components, SCADA systems, and PLC process control;
Familiarity with environment-friendly technologies and sustainable water management practices;
Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
